Abstract: Objective To investigate an optimum extraction process of total flavonoids from Flos Sophorae and leaves of Platycladus Orientalis in compound granules of Flos Sophorae. Methods One-factor-at-a time and orthogonal array design methods were used to optimize the conditions for ultra-wave soaking extraction of total flavonoids from Flos Sophorae and leaves of Platycladus Orientalis in the compound granules of Flos Sophorae, and compared with the hot reflux method. Results The optimal conditions for extracting total flavonoids from Flos Sophorae and leaves of Platycladus Orientalis in compound granules of Flos Sophorae were 60% ethanol as the extraction solvent, solid/liquid ratio 1:10, ultrasonic power 40kHz, extraction time 15 min/time, 2 times, resulting in the extraction of total flavonoid rate was 93.31%. Conclusions The method is simple and feasible, which provided an optimum extraction process of the total flavonoids from Flos Sophorae and leaves of Platycladus Orientalis in the compound granules of Flos Sophorae.
