Abstract: Traditional Chinese medicine has long history in China. With the development of international integration， traditional Chinese medicine enterprise have came into the international stage compete with foreign enterprise. In that context， patent information is one of the most important sources for competitive intelligence. Traditional Chinese medicine enterprise should apply patent analysis into practice of competitive intelligence in order to help corporation identify the competitors， know the technical strength of them， and even predict their marketing strategies， so that protect their competitive edge. This paper mainly analyzes the patent analysis method in competitive intelligence. Present traditional Chinese medicine patent analysis researches are reviewed.
