Abstract: Patient-reported outcome is a term that describes the treatment outcome and health conditions reported directly by the patients. On the basis of the overview of the concepts in this filed, our study aims to review the current global application progress，compare the difference between foreign country and China.Furthermore,we will discuss the techonological challenges that we may confront ,especially in the field of the traditional Chinese medicine. also we put forward the suggestions.
