Abstract: Objective： To observe the clinical effects of Traditional Chinese Medicin（TCM） Tongfeng decoction and febuxostat in treatment of gout combined with hyperuricemia. Methods： 80 patients with gout combined with hyperuricemia were randomly divided into control group and observation group， 40 cases in each group. Control group was given febuxostat， while experimental group was treated with TCM Tongfeng decoction and febuxostat. The clinical efficacy， blood uric acid (BUA)， C-reaction protein (CRP)， interleukin-4 (IL-4) and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results： The total effective rate of experimental group was 97.5%， which was higher than 80.0% of control group (P<0.05)； After treatment， the BUA levels of two groups decreased， compared with control group， the BUA level of experimental group (297.4±43.4) μmol?L-1 was lower (P<0.05). After treatment， the levels of IL-4 and CRP in two groups decreased， compared with control group， the IL-4 and CRP levels in experimental group (31.7±4.4) ng?L-1， （10.5±1.2) ng?mL-1 were lower (P<0.05). The incidence of abnormal liver function， increased creatinine， nausea and vomiting in experimental group was 10.0%， which was slightly lower than 15.0% in control group， but there was no statistical difference (P>0.05). Conclusion： TCM Tongfeng decoction and febuxostat in treatment of gout combined with hyperuricemia is effective， it can increase clinical effects， decrease BUA and inflammatory factor， which has higher safety.
