Abstract: Objective： To explore the influencing factors of medical treatment choices in outpatient clinics in Jiangsu Province and to propose countermeasures. Methods： Descriptive statistics and multivariate Logit models were used for empirical analysis. Results： Descriptive statistics showed that distance or traffic convenience and diagnosis and treatment were important factors for patients′ attention in the first-patient hospital selection. The results of multivariate Logit model showed：whether to participate in insurance， education， income and medical treatment. The distance will affect the choice of medical treatment for residents. Conclusion： The government departments should allocate reasonable resources to medical institutions at all levels， attract excellent medical personnel， improve the medical technology level and service capacity of primary medical institutions， vigorously promote the community first consultation system， improve the utilization rate of medical resources， and achieve “small diseases”. Into the community， the situation of serious illness into the hospital.
